Asamyuta Hasta according to Nandikeshvara:

Pataka-hasta

1. PATAKA HASTA
('Flag')

The fingers are extended and close against one another, and the thumb is bent.

The thumb is bent against the base of the forefinger and the palm and fingers are extended.

When Brahma, the Creator, went to Parabrahma, as he saluted him with the cry of "Victory ! " he held his hand like a flag, since then it has been called the " flag hand ".

It is the first of all hands,

it originates from Brahma,
