The
forefinger of
the Mukula hand is bent.
The
thumb and little finger of the Pataka hand are
pressed together. When the Three Vedas assumed a visible form
and stood before Brahma to make exposition of themselves, they used
this hand gesture.
Its
sage is Vajra-yudha (Indra),
its
colour is mother of pearl,
its
race is Deva,
its
patron deity is Brhaspati.
