6. Ardhacchandra (Half-Moon)

The thumb of the Pataka hand is stretched out. 
From Pataaka, extand your thumb out away from your palm.

This hand originates from the desire of Siva for ornaments, of which the moon is one.

Its sage is Atri,

its race is Vaisya,

its colour is smoky,

its patron deity is Mahadeva.
